Growing up during the high of House and Techno, there is a special place for dance music in my life. With the current rise of EDM popularity, its been quite a ride navigating through the musicians that were raised on the same songs as I was. When I first heard Paul Bingham, aka DJ Paul, I was immediately transported back in time. His fusion of his South African roots mixed with a fresh House sound sets him apart from the rest. The single off his upcoming release Electric Summer is called Set In Stone (Tropical House Mix) and it features fellow South African singer/songwriter, Lokka Vox. Knowing that DJ Paul is a resident DJ at two of the most popular clubs in Ibiza, this song is perfection. I have a feeling that this album will take all of us away to the islands. For us here in the states, we will live vicariously through his beats and enjoy this through the upcoming warmer months.

This is a teaser post. His album is due out on March 22nd. So follow him on his social media below to hear it first hand. Until then, enjoy his over 100 previously released tracks available online and on his SoundCloud!

Extended Plays is an ongoing music series of all the music that I stumble upon. I listen to the music, go with my gut and spill my honest and sometimes brutal opinion all over this blog. I hope you take the time to check out the artists I review for yourselves. I tend to believe that I am always right about everything but the most beautiful thing about music is that my opinion doesn’t matter to anyone but myself.
