Sometimes you just need a fantastic little indie rock song to lighten your soul at the end of the day. Los Angeles based artist Eddy Yang’s new single Split the Night is the perfect example of one of those songs that you can press play and find yourself smiling from cheek to cheek. It’s simple in melody, a little drum and bass beat behind a perfectly strum guitar. It is truly impossible to listen to this song and feel anything but happy. I am looking forward to hearing more from this promising artist in the future.

But for now…we can enjoy this little ditty and maybe you and me can split the night.

Extended Plays is an ongoing music series of all the music that I stumble upon. I listen to the music, go with my gut and spill my honest and sometimes brutal opinion all over this blog. I hope you take the time to check out the artists I review for yourselves. I tend to believe that I am always right about everything but the most beautiful thing about music is that my opinion doesn’t matter to anyone but myself.
