History repeats itself. Even if you have been living under a rock, you are still aware of the world we are living in today. We are at the beginning of something powerful. We are pushing for change. Men, women, and children alike. Whether you are for or against what people are fighting for, its hard to deny its energy… it’s power…it’s eery resemblance to a time not too long ago. Where women fought for equal rights…and won.

This time around, we have the internet and its ability to allow people to hide behind the proverbial curtain. To stand for what you believe in is trying in these digital days. Artists like Sydney Sprague understands this and wrote her song ABomb about what it is like to be in the middle of the fight. People you thought you knew standing on the other side. Just when you thought it was gonna calm down, another strike against the movement. We need songs like this. We need artists like Sydney, singing our fight song. To remind us why we are fighting. That we are not alone. That there is still hope.

Sydney, thank you. Keep it going. Stand tall. Stand proud. Stand with us.

Follow Sydney Sprague on her website and in her social media world. Share her song. We need this.

Extended Plays is an ongoing music series of all the music that I stumble upon. I listen to the music, go with my gut and spill my honest and sometimes brutal opinion all over this blog. I hope you take the time to check out the artists I review for yourselves. I tend to believe that I am always right about everything but the most beautiful thing about music is that my opinion doesn’t matter to anyone but myself.
