The Wilde has a new album out which means that this music lover is quite excited over here. Their newest album Coverups was released in March of 2017 and he has released a video for the single I Can Sleep Alone Tonight. The simple melody behind a heart-wrenching realization about the ending of a relationship. The song haunts you as you take in the story. It will stay with you long after the last beat is heard. It’s amazing.

If this song sounds familiar to you, you are not losing your mind. The album Coverups is a new take on the cover album. Each song is created from two songs that have been inspirational to his artistic process.

“It was a really fun challenge to produce since I had to blend multiple artists’ styles with my own to make an entire record that sounded cohesive,”

I Can Sleep Alone Tonight is a blend of I Can Feel a Hot One by Manchester Orchestra and The District Sleeps Alone Tonight by The Postal Service. Check out the video below to see his creation.

Extended Plays is an ongoing music series of all the music that I stumble upon. I listen to the music, go with my gut and spill my honest and sometimes brutal opinion all over this blog. I hope you take the time to check out the artists I review for yourselves. I tend to believe that I am always right about everything but the most beautiful thing about music is that my opinion doesn’t matter to anyone but myself.
