I’m a sucker for a great folk song. Add the harmonica in and I am instantly in love. William Wallace’s new album, Dirty Soul, is everything the title depicts it to be. A stint in rehab after crashing his car on the highway with 50 pounds of weed on him led him to reflect on his life. Most of this album was written in the bathroom of his rehab facility. The lyrics are haunting. The melodies are soothing. You can feel his pain and discovery in every line sung. San Jacinto is his first single off the album and this is exactly how a folk song should sound like. It digs deep. It resonates. It becomes a part of you and I guarantee you will be humming this track for at least the next few days. Dirty Soul is due out on April 8th. Let this track keep you tied over till then.
