The Soft Underground is about to release their sophomore album. The New York combo of Andrew McCarty and Charlie Hickey explore sound with a hard edge that reminds the ear of some of Rock’s best. The first track of the new album to be released is Rachel. Featuring a kind of hard and to the point cut, this song is radio ready. You’ll be thinking of the likes of Soundgarden or Alice In Chains. Their first album was well received. With the preview that Rachel gives, the new album is sure to be welcomed even more so.

Extended Plays is an ongoing music series of all the music that I stumble upon. I listen to the music, go with my gut and spill my honest and sometimes brutal opinion all over this blog. I hope you take the time to check out the artists I review for yourselves. I tend to believe that I am always right about everything but the most beautiful thing about music is that my opinion doesn’t matter to anyone but myself.
